QUICK TIMES

CHECK OUT THESE SPARKY VINTAGE BOW TIES WE ADDED TO THE LUNE WEBSHOP THIS WEEKEND. I SHOULD BE WEARING ONE NOW SINCE TODAY IS SUCH A BUSY DAY. IF THINGS ARE SLOW AROUND THE BLOG, IT ALMOST ALWAYS MEANS THAT TIME IS MOVING QUICKLY AROUND HERE.

I'VE BEEN STOCKING THE STUDIO FOR A BIG VINTAGE UPDATE, AND WORKING HARD ON PUTTING FINISHING TOUCHES ON OUR BIG RELEASE OF INDIE BUSINESS: COMPASS FOR THIS THURSDAY. MY SUNDAY INCLUDED A FULL DAY MEETING WITH THE INDIE BIZ CREW. I'M NOT USED TO SITTING AT A DESK, SO I WAS ACTUALLY KIND OF LOOKING FORWARD TO TRYING IT OUT. THE LAST TIME I SAT AT AN OFFICE DESK, I WAS 19 AND WORKED AS A BOOKING ASSISTANT TO A RESORT IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC (WHICH LED TO OUR FAMILIES LOVE AFFAIR WITH CABARETE BEACH). I CAN STILL REMEMBER ANSWERING THE PHONE IN THE EXACT SAME CADENCE EVERY TIME. SO MANY TIMES, IT'S CARVED INTO MY BRAIN. THIS TIME IT WAS FUN FOR ABOUT AN HOUR OR TWO. SOME OF US WERE NOT MEANT FOR DESKS.

HOPE YOU'RE HAVING A GOOD START TO YOUR WEEK.

Hey Jill,
I love your blog BUT- I just wanted to give a little feedback.
It's really difficult to read your posts now that they're in all CAPS.
All CAPS is good for titles and links, but trying to read a whole blog post hurts my eyeballs!
I'm sure other readers would agree it would be nice to have some regular sentence capitalization. :)
I really love your blog and your designs, it's just this one detail that's driving me nuts because I really want to read what you have to say but it's, like, a struggle now. LOL

Hi Tish,

Thanks for letting me know how it was reading for you. You're probably right about it being difficult for others too. I don't have trouble, but that's probably because I'm reading what I just wrote in draft. I'll switch back in the next post, and look for a webfont that can more effectively give me that look without making it difficult to read.

Up with constructive criticism! Not all choices are A listers.

XO Jill

i totally get what you mean about not everyone being meant for desks, i'm one of them. i usually prefer spreading whatever i'm working on out on the floor, especially when i'm working on my jewelry.
