Coming across a box of old photos is like opening the door to a world of secret thought, private lives and forgotten moments. In the past, I've come across such boxes of 'adopted ancestors' and love daydreaming for a bit about who these people were, what they were feeling and thinking at that second the camera flashed, and maybe where they are now.
